The Science behind BioRocks

The Biorock technique is an electrolyte system founded by the late future architect Wolf Hilbertz and Dr. Thomas Goreau. When applied to our metal designed sculptures it generates the natural ocean minerals to form limestone around the metal frame. This stops the corrosion but more importantly it is the base element of most corals. The planted corals can now focus on growth instead of building their base skeleton which speeds up the growth 5-8 x faster. Keeping the electrolyte system on the sculpture makes it up to 20 x more stronger and resilient against stress factors. And as you know here on lovely St Maarten/ St Martin there are quite some stress factors to take on.
